All Group Protection claims/cases that are submitted to Unum (online or offline) are visible on the portal, including historic claims/cases.
All Group Protection claims and absence cases associated with a policy number registered to your company will be surfaced in the portal.
Super users can view all Group Protection claims and absence management cases uploaded into the portal. This could include sensitive/confidential cases. Information is limited to the individual’s name and the status of their claim/absence management case.
Submitted Group Protection claims will remain visible on the portal even where the employee’s employment has been transferred to another employer under The Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations (TUPE), as well as for Pay Direct claims. Although you are no longer actively managing these claims, they remain associated with your policy and therefore super users and/or the person assigned to that claim/case will see it in their dashboard.
